Toni Ericksen, West Auckland, New Zealand
Most meth stories sound like a bad movie, with explosions, fires, and half-stoned cooks trying to flush evidence as the cops close in. Toni Ericksen's story is much worse, ending with a car wreck that killed her twelve year old daughter. Amazingly, the court showed her mercy for the sake of her 8 year old daughter, also injured in the crash: She was sentenced to just a year of house arrest, no prison at all.

Jade Nicole Christian, Brainerd, MN
Jade, and her male associated, turned themselves into Brainerd police today, facing meth charges. According to reports, in the process of cooking, they caught their couch on fire. They put it out with a fire extinguisher and split. Unfortunately, they didn't do such a good job, and the fire department had to be called in.
